I’ve always been passionate about helping others bring their ideas to life. As a former teacher, I found joy in guiding people toward their goals with patience, clarity, and genuine care. That same purpose carries into my work today as a bookkeeper and accountant: empowering business owners with organized systems, accurate numbers, and financial insight they can trust.

Before founding Sweet Carolina Financial Services, I gained hands-on experience in both commercial and residential construction accounting — two fields where accuracy, job costing, and cash flow timing matter immensely.

  • At a commercial construction company, I worked as an Accounts Payable Specialist managing vendor accounts, job cost coding, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple projects.

  • At a family-run residential roofing company, I supported AP and operational accounting processes, gaining a close-up understanding of subcontractor payments, materials ordering, change orders, and the fast-paced financial rhythm trades businesses operate in.

These roles gave me firsthand insight into the challenges contractors and service-based businesses face every day — from retention and cost-to-complete tracking to fluctuating project expenses and tight payment schedules. I know how much clarity matters when every job, every crew, and every dollar counts.

My background in education taught me how to communicate complex financial ideas in a way that feels simple, encouraging, and approachable. I don’t just handle your books — I help you understand them. My goal is to turn your financial data into clear, actionable insight so you feel confident in every decision you make.

I currently hold a Bookkeeping Professional Certification and am a commissioned Notary. These credentials, paired with real-world construction and roofing experience, allow me to provide accurate, compliant, and strategic financial support.
